Going on the road

Well, finally it is a reality and we are on our way. It is now the 27th of November and it is Thanksgiving here in the USA.
We said our farewells at home and were on our way at 11:10. We crossed over at Sarnia and went straight down into Ohio to a town called Van Buren. The RV park where we had planned to stay was closed, (in the RV book it was shown to be open all year).


We decided to stay at an highway truck stop. There must have been about 30 large transport trucks parked with their drivers eating their supper, resting and sleeping. A lot of trucks were coming and going during the night. It was fairly noisy because many had their engines idling.

We had a good sleep and we were happy to find a place to spend the night!
