Port aux Choix

On September 1st when we drove to where the ferry leaves for Labrador we made a second decision to turn around. The first one was south of Ferryland on the Irish loop. Heavy rain and wind played a role in this decision. We travelled south to Port aux Choix, which is known as the the capital of the shrimp fisheries in Western Newfoundland. Our camp was at the Oceanside RV park. We enjoyed a very nice seafood dinner near the waterfront Saturday evening and we spent Sunday, a beautiful day with sunshine, walking on the rocks along the shore. The wind is enjoyable when the trailer is not being towed!Walking along the beach we found many fossils in the rock. Here are a couple of pictures. To show the size we placed a penny in the picture.
