West Coast Explorations;

We traveled from Port aux Choix to Rocky Harbour and stayed in Gros Morne RV park. From here we visited coves in the area: Norris Point, Woody Point and Trout River. We decided that Trout River seemed to be the most isolated area we had traveled through in the province.
The landscape in the Western area is so different from the Eastern and Central sections that we felt that we had entered a different province.
We traveled to the Marble mountain ski area just east of Corner Brook and stayed here for one day. Stephenville was our next stop. While there we traveled 80 km. west of the town to the tip of the cape. In our opinion, this area comes second to Trout River in the category of isolation.
With extra time due to not going to Labrador and the western coast not taking as long as we anticipated, we decided to go back to our favourite place, Fogo on Fogo Island. The trip from Stephenville to the ferry to Fogo only took us 5 1/2 hours so we decided that the drive was worthwhile.

Wednesday September 12th we will start making our way toward the Gulf ferry at Port aux Basque. We have a summer full of memories to take with us.

Internet is very sporadic here.
