One more scan...

Two CT scans were booked for me at Owen Sound Hospital on Thursday November 29th -a head and neck and a total bone scan. The bone scan is re-scheduled for the 11 Dec. They were out of nuclear matter!!!!! It was explained that there is a world shortage due to a manufacturing problem!

The appointment with the Surgeon is still on for this Monday Dec. 3rd.
We will keep you posted;;

One Day at a Time

Posted by Ruth....

Today we found out the date of Jannich's meeting with the specialist in Owen Sound. He is presently on vacation so the appointment is set for Monday, December 3rd. There are a number of tests which need to be completed before that date.

We are in communication daily with Ruth's sister and brother-in-law in Edmonton. We just received word that Darwin passed from this world to be with his Heavenly Father at approximately 5:55 pm. (local time) No more pain, no more tears, just joy forever.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Now we know...

Posted by Ruth....
After considerable prodding of the staff at the Walkerton Hospital where the CT scan was taken last Thursday, the results were finally read today and sent to Dr. L. in Durham. To quote him: It does not look good and an appointment will be made with the Pulmonary Specialist in Owen Sound for later this week.

We are thankful for the persistent and astute Doctor that we met in Quebec in September.

The time has come to winterize the RV

This blog will be updated as the results become known.....

Update

Posted by Ruth....
With all of the different stress surrounding us at this time we have lost our stomach for blogging trivia.

Ruth's nephew is experiencing a very low time the past few days.

Jannich will be having his CT scan November 15th- then we will wait for the results. Ruth's sister and brother-in-law, who are in Edmonton, have kindly offered their home to us.

Most RV parks are closed or have turned off their services. We spend a lot of our time in the RV as it is our home and it is parked in their driveway. If we spend much longer in Ontario we will have to have it winterized. We still plan to go south in a couple of weeks! Will keep you posted.

Recalled..........

Posted by Ruth....
Jannich enjoyed two and one half days of fellowship while working on Habitat for Humanity homes in Waveland, Mississippi. His job was painting, which he loves! He was working with Titanium owners and church groups from Colorado. Ruth and Winston kept the home fires burning. Monday we became aware of the urgency of a medical issue that had been simmering since our breakdown on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Quebec City.

As soon as we have the rest of the tires replaced on our RV we will be leaving Mississippi to return to Ontario.

The problem with which we need to deal involves Jannich's health. The Doctor we saw in an emergency ward east of Quebec City contacted our family doctor in Durham in the middle of October. At the time that he treated Jannich's presenting problem (mid September) a number of tests were conducted. (We spent that night in the hospital parking lot.) The symptoms related to Jannich's chest and lung areas. Jannich saw our family doctor October 3rd., was prescribed antibiotics and a inhaler with medication and saw his heavy cough clear up to a certain degree. Thinking all was well we left Ontario. The Quebec doctor emailed us and Dr. L. with his concerns after he had examined the x-ray a second time. The Durham doctor has suggested that we return for further tests.

The above section was written on October 30th. After speaking with our family Doctor on Wednesday, October 31, Dr. L. Suggested that Jannich get some chest x-rays in Bay Saint Louis and perhaps save a trip back. This AM, November 1st. when Jannich checked our computer he found an e-mail telling us to return to Ontario ASAP. Dr. L. saw a "mass" in Jannich's lung, in the x-rays that had been faxed to him. With no time to get new tires we will trust God to get us safely back to Durham.
He coughed and hacked all the way from the Gulf coast while battling the interstate traffic.

Tonight we are back in a park north of Birmingham, Alabama, well on our way north!!!
